Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join their client's team in Boise, Idaho. This position requires an experienced professional to oversee quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with industry standards. The Quality Control Inspector will work on-site and play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality of industrial processes, materials, and products.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned products or components.
- Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Review all purchased products or components and provide input on the decision of whether the product has been vetted by organization for future purchases from the vendor.
- Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies, codes, and procedures.
- Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of codes and specifications for current industry quality standards.
- Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Prepare and present technical information and reports to team members and management.
- Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Control with a minimum of 3 years focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields.
- Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and/or ICC Mechanical - Commercial Certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Regular and routine attendance is required.
Required Work Hours
Monday through Friday, first shift.
Benefits
Relocation/Per Diem negotiable. Overtime available.
Additional Details
The hourly pay range for this position is $38-$48/hr
